Squat Group

HIIT AT GRAND ISLE SCHOOL

High intensity interval training is a great way to get your heart rate up and blood flowing! In this 60-minute class we will cycle through five rounds of various lengths, all consisting of ten different exercises with rest periods in between. The exercises change each session and aim to target all major muscle groups. All exercises can be modified and alternative movements can be recommended in the case that a participant has an injury. Class is by donation to Winged Warrior Fitness and all are welcome! Held in the cafeteria at Grand Isle School.

ABSOLUTE CIRCUIT

Circuit training is a great total body workout that conditions both your muscles and your cardiovascular system, allowing your body to burn more calories while at rest throughout the day. In this 60-minute class, we will cycle through strength and cardio exercises that target all of your major muscle groups. We end class with a stretching session to minimize soreness and tightness post-workout while also providing the added benefit of better overall flexibility.

Elastic Band Exercises

TOTAL TONE

Gain strength and stability in this 45-minute toning class. We will cycle through exercises using resistance bands and body weight to target all of the major muscle groups. Class will end with a 5-minute stretching sequence to reduce post-workout soreness and increase flexibility.

CARDIO KICKBOXING

In this 60-minute class we will combine fast-paced cardio with martial arts techniques for the ultimate burn! Build stamina, improve coordination and flexibility, and burn calories as you build lean muscle with this fun and challenging workout.

SUNDAY STRETCH

In this 45-minute class we will focus on muscle lengthening and flexibility as well as breath work. Each class will begin with dynamic stretches to warm up the muscles. From there we will focus on continuous movement through a variety of traditional stretches as well as some influenced by both yoga and pilates. We will end class with a positive affirmation mediation, setting the intention for the week ahead. This class is suitable for all fitness levels.

STRENGTH AND SIP!

Looking to meet some new, like-minded people? What about combining a total body workout with some socializing? This is the class for you! We will start with a 45-minute full body strength workout, ensuring that we hit all of the major muscle groups. Once we have worked up a sweat, we will cool down with local beverages while we chat amongst ourselves and get to know each other! Class size is limited. Must be 21+.

NUTRITION CRASH COURSE-
FAT LOSS

In this 60-minute virtual session we will cover the ins and outs of how to eat in order to burn fat and maintain muscle. From reading nutrition labels to meal timing, you will leave this session with the tools needed to reach your fat loss goals. Session cost is $30.

NUTRITION CRASH COURSE-
MINDFUL EATING

In this 60-minute virtual session we will cover the ins and outs of making conscious choices when it comes to what we put into our bodies and learn to enjoy food in a new way. Experience nourishment from the inside out and learn to honor your body and the amazing machine it is when it comes to using your food for fuel. When you leave the session you will be armed with the tools needed to make educated, healthy and mindful choices regarding your nutrition and overall well-being. Session cost is $30.

NUTRITION CRASH COURSE-
EATING TO PERFORM

In this 60-minute virtual session you will learn how what you eat and when affects the way that your body performs for you. We will cover the best way to eat in order to perform for various activities. Whether you are a runner, weightlifter, CrossFit enthusiast or casual exerciser, you will leave the session with the tools needed to always perform at your best! Session cost is $30.

VIRTUAL CLASS:
MIDDAY MOVEMENT WEEKLY SERIES

Afternoon slump got you down? Getting ready to go grab that cup of coffee to push you through to the end? Why not replace that cup of joe with some energizing movement? In this 15-minute Monday-Friday class we will get the blood pumping and give you the boost needed to finish the workday strong. All movements can be performed in a small space (think home office or cubicle) and require no equipment! Class takes place Monday-Friday from 1:45pm-2:00pm EST. $20 per week. Pre-registration is required.
